Briefing the New Associate Minister of Health

In the new National-led coalition government, Act Party Leader and Epsom MP Hon David Seymour also holds an Associate Minister of Health portfolio.  His specific responsibilities are Pharmac and Medsafe and, after reading CHPNZ’s Briefing to the Incoming Minister, invited CE Scott Milne and Chair Abs Saadi to his Parliamentary Office at the Beehive to meet with him and officials to hear the advice and concerns of CHPNZ’s membership. 

Medsafe Industry Day

More than 40 CHPNZ members, in person and online, joined a large Medsafe team for a highly productive, positive and informative day in Wellington. Although we face some enormous challenges ahead, all participants were upbeat and keen to meet them head on, and through working collaboratively together.

Winter Health Plan Announcement

The Consumer Healthcare Products Association of New Zealand (CHPNZ) has welcomed the government’s Winter Preparedness Plan and its initiatives designed to improve access, efficiency and primary health care but also cautions that work is needed on the regulation and supply of medicines so they can be accessed by the thousands of New Zealanders who will most benefit from the Plan.
