Thank you to all that joined us for the CHPNZ AGM last Tuesday, 28 November. Our member turnout and engagement exceeded previous years and it was a wonderful opportunity to catch up with you all after what has been another busy year.
CHPNZ is pleased to announce the Executive Council for 2024: Abs Saadi, Bayer; Gillian Moore, Douglas Pharmaceuticals; Oliver Tomane, Haleon; Marcus Thieme, Kenvue; Jock Smith, Reckitt Benckiser; and John Stanton, Vitaco.
We are sad to be losing the expertise and hugely valuable contributions made by board members Barnaby Luff and Matthew Cairns. While their departure provides an opportunity to welcome new board members they will be sorely missed.
Following the AGM, we heard from Sashi Anantham (Head of IQVIA Consumer Insights and Intelligence Australia & NZ) who gave a comprehensive analysis on the New Zealand market. Sashi spoke further on current macro and micro economic trends; how shopping habits have changed post the COVID-19 pandemic; the regulatory environment and potential effects of policy changes; how changing consumer demographics will impact demand and preferences; different perspectives on sustainability; and what the future holds with regards to e-commerce. Our sincere thanks to IQVIA for their support of CHPNZ.
We’re looking forward to working with the new National-led coalition government in 2024 and continuing to provide Kiwis with the ability to make the best self-care health decisions.
Wishing everyone all the best in wrapping up work for 2023 – we hope you can find time to rest and relax with family and friends over the summer break.
Abs Saadi (CHPNZ Chairman) & Scott Milne (CHPNZ Chief Executive).
